We are editorially independent

Our editorial team decides what to cover and how, without input from advertisers, sponsors, or partners. Advertisers and partners cannot approve, edit, or block our editorial content. Paying us does not buy good coverage.

How we check our facts

• We name our sources for data, statistics, and claims. This includes NBS, CBN, SMEDAN, FIRS, industry reports, and named interviews. We do not present information as fact without saying where it came from.
• We are clear about the difference between a reported fact, a claim someone made, an expert’s opinion, and our own analysis. If we are not sure about something, we say so instead of hiding it.
• We check every important fact before we publish it.
• We never make up quotes, statistics, sources, or events. This rule applies even when we use AI tools to help with writing or research (see below).

How we handle mistakes

We make mistakes sometimes. When we do, we fix them openly instead of quietly changing the page.

• Small factual errors are corrected in the article, with a note at the bottom showing what changed and when.
• Bigger errors that change the meaning of a story get a clear correction note, and if needed, a message to readers who already saw the old version.
• Typos and formatting fixes are made without a formal note.

Sponsored and partner content

Any content that is paid for, sponsored, or made with a business partner is always clearly labelled at the top of the article, not hidden at the bottom. We hold sponsored content to the same standard of accuracy as our regular articles. The only difference is who suggested the topic. See our Advertise page for the sponsored content options we offer.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to help with research and writing, such as finding sources, organising drafts, or writing a first version of simple content. We do not allow AI to invent sources, statistics, quotes, or events. Every piece of AI-assisted content is checked by a human editor before it is published. A real person is responsible for everything we publish.

Conflicts of interest

If a writer or editor has a personal or financial connection to a company or topic, they must tell us. If there is a real conflict, we give the story to someone else.
